Today I learned that ammonite fossils used to be called serpent stones (according to Wikipedia). 
Oddly enough, I used the same thrifted yarn for the small cornsnake plushies.
Also that there isn't a collective term, but they are a cephalopod closely related to squid, so I'm going with an audience of ammonites.
Made a custom order and wrote the pattern down this time. These take about an hour with an F 3.75mm hook.
